Personally, to gain new friends who are also into films, invite them to join in the discussion and share their favorite movies as well.

Do you prefer an interactive 'community' for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
More inclined to build a community where others can also join the site and become part of the team- blog, rant and rave, review movies and have fun.

tMF is 6 months old this December 2007. As for the frequency of posting, at least once a day.

LAMB #21 - Boast

URL:
http://iboast.blogspot.com/

Site Name: Boast

What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
The main focus of our blog is to draw focus to the artistic aspects of film and other media arts (TV, music, etc.) while inspiring discussion and critical thinking about popular culture. This being the case, most of the posts on our blog resemble a critical studies approach to film, art, culture, history, politics, and other relevant theoretical elements as they help to inform (and are informed by) cinema and popular culture. Because of our educations and backgrounds, we tend to focus on international and film history rather than just current run productions. We also include the obligatory wallpaper, movie review, news update/release, and other rantings as they apply to our love of all things sweet.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Since our contributors range from librarians to university lecturers to a student and a professional photographer, and are from the US and the UK, our goal is to offer a wide range of educated and informed discussion and perspective on film.

Do you prefer an interactive 'community' for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Our purpose is not to 'do all the talking'. Given our credentials and backgrounds we do tend to openly rail against all forms of poserdom (aka Tourism) and lazy criticism. However, we encourage open discussion as we strongly believe that it can educate and inspire those involved. We take our art seriously, but love to enjoy and have fun with it.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
We have been blogging since February 2006. In that time we have made 74 posts. We aim to do better…

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
L'avventura, The Dekalogue, Days of Heaven.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
