PLUG: Are You Screening?

Hi there,

Marc Eastman from Are You Screening? here. My site has kind of taken off, and I’m looking for additional part-time writers (with the possibility of some great perks) to help cover things, and thought maybe some LAMB members would be interested.

Full details can be found here -

Got a Press Release, something to Plug, or a Screener available for review (or some combination of the three)? Ok, don’t get all crazy about it. Just click here and give me the details (what, when, where, and a link, for starters) - I’ll handle the rest.

LAMB #205 - Are You Screening?

URL: http://www.areyouscreening.com/
Site Name: Are You Screening?
Categories: Reviews, News, Editorials, General
Rating: PG-13

What is the main focus of your site?
I’m not sure there is one. I’ve been writing movie reviews for ten years, mostly online, but in print occasionally, and I started a blog because I wanted to babble more. I guess the main idea is that I do movie and TV reviews, but whatever strikes me is fair game.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I’m a stay-at-home dad with two degrees I’m not using, and my goal is to babble and converse with others who might find they have similar tastes, and/or to make a bit of money.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I’d actually say both. I would really like my blog to be very interactive, and I’m not really a guru on what is great about movies, but I think I have insight to share which might help my readers appreciate movies more.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
A little over two months, and I try to put something up at least once a day. I’d say I average 1-2 posts a day. I’m not looking to become a blog with several updates per day.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Jesus of Montreal
McCabe & Mrs. Miller
Dark City

How did you hear about the LAMB?
A variety of places…several blogs I’ve been reading lately. If I have to pick, I’d say Lair of the Green Knight might be the first place.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
None.
