Coming at you twice a day (after today, where there will just be one) until the winner of the Best Blog award is unveiled next Tuesday, it’s time for the 2009 LAMMY Awards gala!
As I mentioned in the intro on the poll, any votes cast by ineligible voters would be discarded (eligible voters were LAMBs #1-282). There were 13 such ineligible voters; while I appreciate the effort, rules are rules. As a result, the outcomes of some of the races have been altered. On the bright side, at least this might snap some mystery back into seeing who won and lost. Anyway, on to the awards!

This was tied for the most active category, with 56 votes, and was one of the closest races, resulting in a tie for first place and a tie for 3rd place.

You’ll see a widget titled “Random LAMB.” These are banners that the LAMB members have created to advertise their sites. The full gallery can be seen here. This was the 3rd most active category, with 73 total votes spread to 32 sites by 26 voters. The winner took the trophy while receiving a vote from 31.3% of the voters, the 8th highest percentage of all the categories. It was a tight race, and I think any of the top three (or four) would have been worth winners.
