LAMBcast #65: Whatcha Been Watchin’ Lately?

The ever popular Whatcha Been Watchin’ Lately once again spawns for another discussion of a really messed up film…but probably not from the person you’re expecting. Is it Nick, Dylan, James or Stevee? Come to think of it, all of the films we discuss are messed up. Also, we talk about a film made before 1970! Yay!

For the LAMB of the Week, we take a look at LAMB #838, Jack L. Film Reviews:

Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too. Either here in the comments section or to blogcabins@yahoo.com or to our Facebook page. Also, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one.

2011 LAMMY FYC Posters - Cinematic Paradox and 100 Years of Movies

Send me an FYC image and I will post it! I’ll be posting dual FYCs in one post, but if I have to, I’ll increase it to 3 or 4 per post later. The nomination voting period only lasts until May 9th!. When you’re ready to vote, do it here: http://www.misterpoll.com/polls/521956

Movie of the Month/LAMBcast #64: Black Dynamite

Alright you jive-ass turkeys…it’s time to shut up and listen, ’cause grown ups is talking.

That’s right, it’s time for the Movie of the Month, and with it, the LAMBcast dedicated to said movie. If you haven’t seen the 2009 comedy that kisses the feet of the blaxploitation genre just prior to sweeping those feet from the ground, you’re missing out. Can you dig it? So kick back, have yourself some Anaconda malt liquor, and try to make the connection between something that “melts in your mouth” and “Little Richard.”

If you’re having trouble with that one, in the meantime you can check out all these badass fellow LAMBs that took part in the MOTM by writing about the comedy classic that is Black Dynamite:

It’s also time to vote on next month’s movie. I’ve included many of the choices from last month, but swapped a few out to keep it interesting. You have one week to vote.

If all that’s not enough for you, the LAMBcast took on BD as well. Jason, Nick, Stevee, Aiden and Dylan tried to analyze the film on a deep level, but mostly just riff on all the awesome things contained within.

The Green Hornet. Priest. Thor. Captain America. Green Lantern. Cowboys & Aliens. X-Men: First Class. Conan the Barbarian. You couldn’t possibly miss the fact that there are a ton of comic book adaptations coming to the screen this summer. James, Nick, and Dylan break them down with a little outside help, as we welcome Justin Fields, also known as Dylan’s brother.

LAMBcast #54: Top 5 Most Anticipated for 2011

Jason, James, Nick, Stevee and Dylan get together to discuss their Top 5 Most Anticipated films for 2011. Like I say, I know we’re a month into the new year, but does January really count? Also, we premiere the brand-spanking new segment transitions - don’t worry, it’s way more interesting than that sounds.

LAMBcast #49: Whatcha Been Watchin’ Lately?

Six pack! Host Dylan was joined by…deep breath…the Mad Hatter, Nick, Kai, and two noobs to the show, Steve and Stevee (don’t worry, keeping track of them was easier than you’d think) as they discussed what they’d all been watchin’ lately.
