Happy holidays everyone! I am unsure if it was poor planning on my part to schedule the twelfth installment of The Director’s Chair after the six day extravaganza known to every American as the weekend of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Due to some reason beyond this immediate scapegoat of a holiday weekend the turnout of participation for the event is extremely low. As a result of low participation I have decreased the number of days from three down to one. Therefore every valid article that has been sent in for the Ed Wood themed Director’s Chair event has been listed below for your perusal.

Hey everyone it is D.J. Heinlein from the blog site Matte Havoc. Ed Wood may not hold the largest collection of mainstream films that he has directed during his career, but he has garnered a fan following. The twelfth edition of The Director’s Chair featuring his work is scheduled to begin next week. If you have seen any of his films such as Plan 9 from Outer Space (1958) then send in a link to a review. The deadline for submissions is November 29th at 10 PM and the ball field is wide open for participating LAMB sites. The direct link to your article can be submitted to me (DJ) by e-mail to mattehavoc@gmail.com between now and the deadline. Hey everyone it is D.J. Heinlein from the blog site Matte Havoc. The time has come to announce the twelfth candidate of the LAMBs in the Director’s Chair series. The event has been slated for the end of November, which I am hoping will be enough time to watch and review a movie or two from the ghastly film catalog of Ed Wood. For those who may never have heard of him might consider watching the Tim Burton film Ed Wood (1994) starring Johnny Depp and Martin Landau as a precursor to participating in this event. I know there are a couple of the LAMB bloggers who have been looking forward to participating in this event and maybe we will discover a few more Wood fans out there.

Now for those of you who have never participated in this event before I would like to present the basic list of instructions and rules for participation in the series. The golden guideline would be that all participants must be a current member of the LAMBs or at least on the waiting list for approval to become a member. The second guideline of participation in the series would be for everyone write and publish an article about the candidate who has been selected for the event. The focus of every article must stay within the arena of the person’s career as a movie director. The third and final item on the list of guidelines is an uncompromising rule of meeting the deadline for submission. Every article that you would like to submit for the event must be e-mailed to DJ Heinlein [ mattehavoc@gmail.com ] by 10 PM the night before the first day of the event. Make sure to include a direct URL link to every article that you would like to submit (there is no minimum or maximum number of articles that can be submitted).

On a side note I usually ignore e-mails filled with explanations and plans of publishing an article for the event. My inbox fills up very quickly with submissions for this event and I might over look a submission by accident if I am spending time deleting e-mails of explanations instead of valid links to submitted articles. The best way to get involved in the series is to publish the article and submit the link by e-mail. No explanations are necessary.
