LAMB #32 - Rick’s DVD Picks

URL: http://www.ricksdvdpicks.com/

Site Name: Rick’s DVD Picks

What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
I concentrate almost exclusively on movie reviews. I like to think that writing very traditional plot summary reviews is my strength. It’s certainly what I enjoy doing the most.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I’ve only been blogging for a little over six months, so Rick’s DVD Picks is still very much on its shake-down cruise, to borrow a nautical term. So any goals I have at this point are pretty modest - increasing my readership is priority one right now.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Well I’m certainly no teacher! I’m just an amateur film buff offering up my uneducated opinions. So comments and feedback from readers are always welcome. Having said that, if people simply wish to drop by and see what I’ve got to say about a particular movie, then that’s fine too. Many blog readers are just not that interested in leaving comments, and I respect that.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Since June 2007, and 2 to 3 posts per week.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
The Godfather, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Casablanca.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I stumbled on a link on a blog, but if I’m to be honest, I can’t remember where.

Any additional comments.
None.
