What is the main focus of your site?
A new post (occasionally more) every weekday talking about whatever’s on my mind movie-wise at the time. I don’t tend to do ‘traditional’ reviews - there are enough sites out there that do that - but I will approach movies I’ve seen from a different angle to everyone else. I do crap visual gags, silly features and rants about things I love and hate about film, and I post links to cool stuff I’ve found on the interwebs.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I just wanted to write down my thoughts about films, and share it with whoever’s interested. I’d like to carry on doing it because I enjoy it; I don’t have any plans to do it professionally but if someone approached me to write something I’d consider it.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
It’s just my ramblings; hopefully I’ve introduced a few people to stuff they wouldn’t otherwise have seen but I don’t claim to be an authority. I welcome comments and try to reply to them all and welcome suggestions from readers for some of my features.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Since June 2009, once or twice every weekday. Had a break over Christmas while I was on holiday!
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Vertigo, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Back To The Future
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Stumbled across it doing a Google search for other movie blogs.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
My blog is very self-deprecating, I don’t take my subject too seriously unless it deserves it, and I try to make it different from so many other identimovieblogs out there. If everyone’s talking about something, I’ll either cover it in a different way or not cover it at all. There’s no point jumping into a crowded swimming pool when you can splash about in the sea! Hmm, I’m not sure if that metaphor really works. Hopefully you get the point.
Oh yeah and I can spell.
