LAMB #290 - The One-Line Review

URL: http://1linereview.blogspot.com/
Site Name: The One-Line Review
Categories: Reviews
Rating: PG? I use the term sh!t-smeared in one review, but otherwise it’s all pretty squeaky clean.

What is the main focus of your site?
My aim is to review, in one line (about the same length as a piece of string), any and everything that might come my way. I’m also currently organising a greatest films poll.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Just to keep on going, to carry on as I have been.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I’m a bit of a sensitive soul. So, at the present time, the comment facility is switched off.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I’ve been blogging since August 2008, and I generally update at least once a day.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Narrowing down my favourites to just three titles is perhaps the hardest thing that I have ever had to do. But here we go:
Close-Up (1990)
Ikiru (1952)
Tokyo Story (1953)

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I chanced upon it.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
None.

PLUG / PRESS RELEASE: The One-Line Review

I would like to invite you to take part in The One-Line Review’s survey of “The 50 Greatest Films”. I am currently polling a number of professional and amateur filmmakers, critics, reviewers, bloggers, cinephiles, cineastes, and dedicated film-lovers in general, as to their favourite films. The deadline for entries is the 30th June 2009, and I intend to publish the results at the end of July/August at The One-Line Review (I will contact participators at the time.)

Should you be interested in taking part, please return your entry to onelinereview@hotmail.co.uk, listing your choice of 50 favourite/most cherished/most admired films (plus comments if you’d like), the name that you would like to be shown as, any films, companies, publications, websites, blogs etc. that you are associated with that may be appropriate (including web addresses if possible), and any brief biographical information that you may wish to include.

Also, if you know of anyone else who may be suitable and interested in taking part, feel free to forward this on to them.

Thank you
Iain Stott

[Editor’s Note: The One-Line Review has since sent in a LAMB entry as well, thus making this a Plug as well as PR.]
